Aloha! I'm Rob Hawes, an artist and creator hailing from the magical shores of Maui, Hawaii. My artistic voyage began in 2007, deeply rooted in a passion for Tiki Mug collecting that started in 2002. Today, my handmade mugs are cherished by collectors globally, celebrated for their intricate designs and meticulous craftsmanship. Beyond ceramics, I've ventured into the world of graphic design, making a mark in fashion with my Yiume Aloha Shirt design—a perfect fusion of traditional Tiki motifs and modern aesthetics that captures the vibrant spirit of Hawaii.
Design Philosophy
My designs are inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Hawaii and my personal journey, including my battle with cancer. Through my work, I aim to evoke the warmth, vitality, and allure of island life, blending traditional elements with a contemporary twist. Each piece is a celebration of life's beauty, designed to bring a piece of paradise into everyday moments.
