By "Ukiyo-e No. 2," this alienation evolves into a shift in mindset, with the increasing presence of the ocean and bubbles symbolizing the overwhelming and frenetic nature of life. Subsequent pieces see a disappearance of human figures, replaced by animals to convey a sense of alienation, anxiety, and struggle on a deeper level. "Ukiyo-e No. 4" reaches a critical point, with a giant whale submerged and entangled, its eyes obstructed, losing its ability to see, hear, judge, and resist, allowing alienation and frenzy to take over. "Ukiyo-e No. 5" represents the idealized hope in this series. The image of a majestic lion symbolizes justice and strength, fearlessly treading through adversity and negative emotions, standing tall against danger, ultimately breaking through the darkness to greet the dawn. This signifies the inner battle and awakening within oneself.
